Career Beginnings in Music Videos

Lauren London initially gained exposure through appearances in several high-profile music videos. She was featured in Pharrell Williams’s videos for "That Girl" and "Frontin'," as well as Snoop Dogg's "Drop It Like It's Hot." She also appeared in Ne-Yo’s "Miss Independent" alongside Gabrielle Union and Keri Hilson. Additionally, she was in T.I.’s video for "What You Know," a project inspired by the film ATL, in which she also acted. London's other music video appearances include Common’s "Drivin' Me Wild."

Breakthrough Role in ATL

In 2006, London learned about auditions for the coming-of-age drama ATL and took decisive steps to land a role. She hired an acting coach to prepare and persuaded a personal assistant of director Chris Robinson to allow her to audition. Although she arrived two hours late, her performance won over the casting team, leading to her role as Erin Garnett, a privileged girl who forms a relationship with Rashad, played by T.I. Her performance garnered significant attention and launched her career in film and television.

Television and Film Roles

Following her breakout in ATL, London made guest appearances on television series such as Everybody Hates Chris and Entourage. She later appeared in films including This Christmas (2007), I Love You, Beth Cooper (2009), and Next Day Air (2009). Her portrayal in ATL earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress from the Black Movie Awards.
