Lee Furlong

Lee Furlong is an Australian broadcaster, journalist, and celebrity. She was born in Cronulla, Australia in the early 80's. There is no exact date of birth, but it is known that she entered the world before 1985 and after 1980. The name of her father is Ed Furlong and the name of her is Marjorie Furlong. Furlong grew up in the same area through out her childhood and adolescent years, which gave her a strong foundation from which she was able to launch into her career goals.

Furlong decided to attend college to further her dream of becoming an established journalist. In Lee completed her graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications in Journalism from University of Wollongong, New South Wales. After graduating, she began to actively seek out exciting job opportunities within media.

Furlong was offered a job with one of the more famous newspapers that circulated at the time, "The Daily Telegraph", around 2003 or 2004. There are no exact dates to determine when Furlong began to work for the newspaper, but she did win a newcomer award of the year at the same newspaper during 2005, so it can be deduced that she had been working for "The Daily Telegraph" for a year or two years at the most. Furlong's ultimate goal in her burgeoning career was to become involved in television journalism. Her time with "The Daily Telegraph" gave her invaluable experience in communication and being able to reach a much larger audience, so she began to search for rewarding opening positions in television broadcasting. With her background established in print journalism, she was able to find a job with a major network in Australia.

Because of her enthusiasm and ambition, she was given the opportunity to work at Fox TV. Quite rapidly, when she was in her early 20s, she was appointed to host the Fox Sports News team, which was a tremendous honor and proved that Lee Furlong had drive and talent well-suited to her position.. Before the 24-hour Fox sports channel was launched, she worked with Fox Sports News in August of 2006.

Furlong also hosted the health segment known as Seriously AFL at Network Ten, which became a popular show that many viewers consistently tuned into because of Furlong's charm and knowledge about sports and health fitness. She worked with Network Ten hosting the health and fitness show for two years. She met with different nutrition and health experts of Sydney Swans for the show and gave an exclusive look into the lives of professional AFL players for the viewing audience.
