Background

Lil Mosey was born and raised in the Seattle suburb of Mount Lake Terrace where he developed a passion for hip hop music. He was just 9 years old when he was introduced to the sounds of hip-hop. His eldest brother, Quinnell played him music from popular rappers, Joey Bada$$, Iamsu!, and Souljah Boy.

Hip Hop Career

As he grew up, Mosey became a huge and devoted rap fan. His role models were 50 Cent, Nas, and Meek Mill. By the time he got to the 8th grade, he was actively searching YouTube to find instrumentals that he could write to and rap over. It was a method to perfect his budding flow and rap style

Lil Mosey recorded his first ever rap song called “Duplicate,” over Desiigner’s “Panda” beat in his bedroom. Using modern technology to reach his audience, he dropped the song on SoundCloud and hoped for the best as he awaited the feedback. The song got a couple thousand hits which was an encouraging sign for the unknown and young artist. He is now a huge star and he is aware of the fact that he has millions of underage fans paying attention to him so he tries his best to set a good example.
