Élodie Yung is known as a French actress. She is best referred to for her job as Elektra Natchios in the second season of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Netflix series Daredevil and the Netflix miniseries, The Defenders.

Elodie Yung was born on February 22, 1981 in Paris, France. She is of mixed race and comes from Cambodian and French ancestry. She experienced childhood in Seine-saint-Denis, in Le Bourget, where she competed in karate and got her dark belt.

She moved on from University of La Sorbonne in Paris after graduating college and has a law degree. She at that point chose to study acting at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in London. Even though she went to school for Law, she felt her true calling was the acting industry.

Career

She became the first non-American actress to depict Elektra in a real to life adaption of the character. The character was always from an Asian background in the original comics but they never had an Asian actress play the character. Before Yung, a white actress named Jennifer Garner played the character. Fans of the show were happy that they finally cast an actress that at least resembled the popular comic book character.
