Who is Luke Combs?

Luke Combs is an American country music singer and songwriter who was named by Sounds Like Nashville as Artist to Watch in 2017. Luke Albert Combs was born on March 2, 1990, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended A.C. Reynolds High school where he played football as well as performing with multiple vocal groups; including a solo performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Luke attended Appalachian State University in Boone North Carolina but dropped out to pursue a career in country music. Luke’s first EP, The Way She Rides, was released in 2014 and produced four successful singles; Hurricane, When It Rains It Pours, One Number Away, and She Got the Best of Me, all of which reached the number one position on Billboard Magazine’s Country Airplay weekly chart. Since then, Luke Combs has released two more EP’s; Can I Get an Outlaw, and This One’s for You.

This One’s for You reached the number one position on the Billboard Magazine’s Top Country Albums chart and number five on the US Billboard 200 in its very first week. Luke Combs recently announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Nicole Hocking on social media; posting pictures of the couple in front of a beautiful Maui Sunset. The singer said they have been engaged a while but wanted to wait to announce because he did not want to post pictures of them “in the kitchen”.
