Luke Albert Combs was born on March 2, 1990, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He later moved with his family to Asheville, where he attended A.C. Reynolds High School. During his school years, he participated in football and showcased his vocal talents through various musical groups. Notably, Combs performed a solo at New York City’s prestigious Carnegie Hall, underscoring his early musical promise.

In 2017, Sounds Like Nashville named Combs an Artist to Watch, a prediction that soon became reality as his songs began climbing the charts. Combs’ debut full-length album, This One’s for You, was released in 2017 and received widespread acclaim. It debuted at number one on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and reached number five on the Billboard 200. The album’s commercial success was fueled by relatable storytelling and a strong lineup of hit singles, establishing Combs as both a fan favorite and a chart mainstay.
