Early Life and Training

Maggie Lawson started out her early education at a Girls-only school run by the Catholic Church. It was called the Assumption High School, located in Louisville, Kentucky. While at high school, she worked with the Humane Society for quite a long time because of her great love for all kinds of animals. Maggie then attended the University of Louisville, which is in Kentucky also. She started making appearances at a local community theatre and participated in dinner theatre productions at the age of eight. She learned the beauty of competition at an early age when she would play games of softball with her two brothers, Nick and Chris. They also played baseball. With those early life experiences, Maggie could face her world very well prepared.

Career

Maggie started out her career as a journalist. Very passionate about children, she worked tirelessly to make their voices heard. Consequently she was engaged as a youth journalist for the local FOX station, collating news reports on children. In 1996, she starred in a situation comedy ‘Unhappily Ever After’ and her career progressed from there with many TV appearances on series like ‘Fear Itself’ as well as ‘Smallville.’ In 2000, she acted alongside Justin Timberlake in ‘Model Behaviour,’ a Disney Channel movie.

Maggie is a movie fans’ favorite. She has featured in many movies which have made waves tremendously. She featured on ‘Psych’ as Juliet O’Hara, the series for which most people would always remember her for. She also featured on ‘A Date with Diana,’ ‘Back in the Game’, ‘Angel from Hell’, 'Model Behaviour' and 'Hostile Makeover.' These are in addition to shows where she played supporting roles like ‘Two and a Half Men,’ playing the role of Miss McMartin. Other movies she appeared in were 'It's All Relative,' 'Inside Schwartz,' 'Crumbs,' 'Hang Time,' 'Cybill,' ' Heart of a Stranger,' 'Cleaner,' 'Pleasantville,' 'Spivak,' ' Gamer,' 'Christmas Encor,' 'Pysch: The Movie,' 'My Favorite Wedding,' 'Save The Date,' 'Killer Hair,' 'Spellbound,' 'Heart of a Stranger,' 'Cheats,' 'Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman,' 'Love Rules!,' 'Winter Break,' 'Nice Guys Sleep Alone,' and 'I've Been Waiting for You.'

Maggie has appeared in many various TV shows, often minor charactors only appearing once, but sometimes in roles that she appeared in for a few episodes. These shows include 'Step by Step,' playing the role of Alana Mills in 1997, in the episode titled 'Loose Lips.' 'Meego,' playing the role of Brooke in 1997, in the episode titled, 'Fatal Attraction.' 'Boy Meets World,' playing the role of Debbie in 1997, in the episode titled, 'I Love You, Donna Karan: Part 1.' 'Home Improvement,' playing the role of Samantha Hayes in 1998, in the episode titled, 'An Older Woman.' 'Kelly Kelly,' playing the role of Ally in 1998, in the episode titled, 'The Wedding Show.' 'Working,' playing the role of Julie in 1999, in the episode titled, 'Romeo and Julie.' 'Felicity,' playing the role of Rebecca in 1999, in the episode titled, 'Todd Mulcahy: Part 2.' 'Family Rules,' playing the part of Hope Harrison in 1999, in six different episodes. 'ER,' playing the role of Shannon Mitchell in 1999, in the episode titled, 'Responsible Parties,' 'Party of Five,' playing the role of Alexa in 1999, in seven different episodes. 'Smallville,' playing the rolse of Chrissy Parker in 2002, in the episode titled 'Redux.' 'The Wonderful World of Disney,' in 2002, playing the role of Nancy Drew. 'It's All Relative,' playing the role of Liz Stoddard-Banks in 2004, in 22 different episodes. 'Tru Calling,' playing the role of Megan Roberts in 2005, in the episode titled, 'The Last Good Day.' 'Crumbs,' playing the roles of Andrea Malone and Andrea Crumb in 2006, in all 13 episodes. 'Rules of Engagement,' playing the role of Jesse in 2007, in the episode titled 'Jeff's Wooby.' 'Fear Itself,' playing the role of Samantha the Bride in 2008, in the episode titled, 'In Sickness and in Health.' 'Back in the Game,' playing the rolse of Terry Gannon Jr. in 2013-2014, in all 13 episodes. In 'Psych,' she appeared as Juliet O'Hara in 119 different episodes, from 2006-2014.She played Ms. McMartin in 10 episodes of 'Two and a Half Men,' in 2015. She played Allison in 'Angel From Hell,' in 2016, in all 13 episodes. She played Jen in 'The Ranch,' in 2017, in six episodes.
