Maisie Richardson-Sellers was born on March 2, 1992, in London, England. She is the daughter of Joy Richardson and comes from a family with strong roots in stage acting.

In 2013, she graduated from the University of Oxford with a degree in Archaeology and Anthropology. During her time at Oxford, she actively engaged in student theatre, both acting in and directing several plays, including Mephisto, Chatroom, and There Will Be Red.

Breakthrough and Career in Film and Television

Following her graduation, Richardson-Sellers began auditioning professionally and landed her first screen role in the major blockbuster Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), where she portrayed Korr Sella. While her role was brief, it marked her cinematic debut in a globally recognized franchise.

In 2014, she took on one of her most recognized television roles in The CW’s supernatural drama The Originals. She played Eva Sinclair, a witch whose body becomes the host for Rebekah Mikaelson due to a magical mishap. Her performance was well received and helped establish her as a familiar face on the network.

Richardson-Sellers continued her partnership with The CW by joining the ensemble cast of Legends of Tomorrow in 2016. She initially appeared as Amaya Jiwe (Vixen), a superhero with a magical totem, and later portrayed Charlie, a shapeshifting fugitive from another dimension.
