Mandie Taketa was born on March 3 1976 in Hawaii. Mandie Taketa graduated from elementary school and high school in Hawaii.

Mandie Taketa learned the art of dancing and acting from her father. In an interview with Promoting Women, Mandie gave the interviewer a quick introduction of herself, “I was born and raised in Honolulu Hawaii. I received a full dance scholarship to the University of Hawaii but opted out after a year to pursue a dance and acting career in Los Angeles. It’s been 15 years since then. I have been blessed to support myself in the arts, but the job I am most proud of is being the mother of my 7 year old daughter, Maile. She inspires everything that I do.”

 Marriage, Husband and Kids

Mandie Taketa was married to Wayne Brady from 1999 to 2008. They underwent a divorce process in 2008 that put an end to their union. From her marriage with Wayne, she has one daughter. Their daughter is Maile Masako Brady, she was born on February 3, 2003.

Mandie Taketa's ex-husband, Wayne Brady first wanted to pursue a military career before his eventual dive into the entertainment industry. But he changed his mind about pursuing a career in the military after he was involved in a high school drama play. The play gave him a spark and passion for acting. He didn’t realize how much fun acting could be until he was in the play. The craft pulled him in and he never looked back. He started acting across many local theaters in Florida. He later moved from Florida to Las Vegas and then he moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. His career reached a peak when he was given his own show, The Wayne Brady Show.

He has appeared in several movies from which he gained popularity such as Stuart Little 3: Call Of The Wild (2006), and The List (2007). His fans recognize him the most from his popular run on the improv show, Whose Line Is it Anyway?
