Maria Brink was born on December 17, 1977. She is best known as the singer and frontwoman for the metalcore band In This Moment. Maria's childhood was rocky; her father abandonded the family when she was young and her mother was addiction to drugs. When she was just 14, Maria became pregnant and gave birth to a son, Davion. In 2002, she moved to Los Angeles from New York to work on her music career. She worked in retail and other odd jobs for a few years until she met Chris Howorth in 2005. The two found drummer Jeff Fab and founded the band Dying Star, which became In This Moment after a change in the lineup.
Brink and the rest of In This Moment have performed at many festivals and tours and they have released six studio albums as a band. Maria follows a vegetarian diet and is an animal rights activist. Along with receiving nominations for the band's music, she has won the Rock Goddess of the Year award twice, in 2013 and 2015 and has been named the "Hottest Chick in Metal". Brink is currently in a relationship with fellow heavy metal musician Jonathan Miller.
