Studies

She went to Charlottesville, Virginia to attend the University of Virginia. She studied at this public higher education institution. She graduated with a minor in German and a degree in foreign affairs. After that, she shifted to New York, New York, where she attended the New York Law School and earned a Juris Doctor.

First Steps

Her career started when she began to work for the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc., the former self regulatory organization in charge of regulating the stock and the NASDAQ, among other things. The hub of her interests were information and security at that moment. Then in 2001, she joined NASDAQ as global sales and member services associate director. Among her many duties, she ran a broadcast studio and a seven storey tower.

The following year, thanks to her job, she became chief of staff to the vice chairman of NASDAQ. But the raises did not stop there, as she gained another one. She became the vice president of the NASDAQ MarketSite, which is the home of the NASDAQ Opening Bell.

While she worked for NASDAQ, she had a partnership with the Cable News Network. They partnered during America Votes 2004. With a live coverage made from the NASDAQ MarketSite. At the same time, she also negotiated a partnership with Reuters Group Limited, that deal would mean the combination between the NASDAQ Tower and Reuters Sign properties in an effort to create the world’s largest outdoor digital display system which would have its home at the Times Square.

News Career

She started her news and television career working for the Meredith Corporation. There she formed part of The Better Show as a regular contributor on matters of career and money.

She has also been a contributor in the issues of Dr. Drew's Lifechangers. Her published work includes: Parents, Better Homes and Gardens, and Ladies Home Journal.

For a time she worked for the Wall Street Week as a host and producer. Later she joined the team of the The Broadway Channel where she worked as a host, producer and correspondent. In her time there, she covered most of Broadway's’ red carpet events and the famed Tony Awards. She also worked for Brain Fuel TV as a freelance host. She also was a freelancer for known as AOL and MSN.

Current Job

Her still running on the Cable News Network, or as it best known CNN, began in 2012. That year she joined the staff of the multi-platform, market exclusive financial news service that was being produced by CNNMoney.com. This is the Newsource's Money Matters. She started working there as a correspondent and later moved to the broadcasting company offices in New York. From there she now provides live reports for over eight hundred affiliates of the Cable News Network. Among the affiliates it bears mentioning: HLN, the CNN and CNN International.
