Marton Paul Csokas, popularly known as Marton Csokas, was born in Invercargill, New Zealand on June 30, 1966. His father, Marton Csokas, was a Hungarian mechanical engineer while her mother, Margaret Christine, was a nurse. Margaret was an Australian and her ancestry was known to be Danish, English and Irish. A surprising fact about the actor is that he holds Hungarian as well as New Zealand citizenship. Csokas' father was once a trapeze artist in Hungarian Circus and an opera singer. These were the innate qualities of the actor, who could also sing well and do arts on a trapeze. He was presented with the degree of Bachelor in Arts from Cantebury University in New Zeland. The actor completed his under-graduation from King's College, Aukland.
