Marysol Castro was born in 1976, September 27 in New York, United States. As long as she could remember, Castro always wanted to become a journalist and she decided that the way to achieve her dream would be through hard work and dedication. Castro spent her childhood in Bronx where she helped her parents, who were Puerto Rican, with various task around the house and in their work. She began her education after becoming a student at Public School 83 which she finished and began attending Intermediate School 181. After that, she became a student at a Quaker Boarding School which is located in the state of Pennsylvania. After being done with that it was time to take the next step and become a student at one of the colleges or universities. Castro contemplated all her options and decided to attend Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She got her Bachelor's degree in Arts in the year 1996. This was, however, not enough for the reporter and she enrolled at the Columbia University and received Master's degree in journalism.
Career
Marysol Castro has quite a few TV shows in her repertoire. Before starting a job at ABC Marysol was working as a reporter at WPIX, a television station which is located in the New York City and is part of one of the biggest networks in the United States – CW. She also had a gig as a reporter at a regional cable news channel News 12, a local cable network which is located in Bronx. The reporter also has some experience as a teacher since for a while she worked at Poly Prep Country Day School teaching students English language and literature. In 2011, Castro became weather forecaster during the weekdays on the CBS' The Early Show where she replaced Dave Price, a long-term forecaster for the show.
In 2015, the reporter joined ABC network to report morning traffic and host the show as an anchor. However, she got replaced and left the network by the end of 2015. In the same year, she also became part of ESPN's program which focused on the world of boxing. She worked as one of the hosts of the program.
Personal life
Despite the fact that the journalist has good looks she is not married and does not have a husband. She is believed to be not dating anyone at the moment due to her career commitments and she revealed that it is hard to juggle personal and professional lives. But she believes the future is bright and sooner or later she will find that special someone.
