Good Luck Charlie

The TV series Good Luck Charlie is centered on Charlotte Charlie Duncan played by Mia. The story is about a married couple from Denver that has three older children and an unexpected fourth baby. In order to survive the chaos, the parents ask for their children’s help in order to raise Charlie. Each episode ends with a video diary in which Teddy (the older sister) record advices for her little sister Charlie in order to pass easily through teen age. Every time the video diary ends with Good luck Charlie!

The show aired from 2010 until 2014, during 4 seasons. At the end of the third season, the parents found out that they are going to have another child, the fifth. The TV series produced by Disney Channel was meant to attract audience both children and adults, making it a family series. The producers were inserting issues that adults have to deal with when they are parents but in the same time it was supposed to be fun for the children. Mia grew up with this series, and her character is mostly based on her true self.

The producer Phil Baker often discussed with Mia’s parents about her preferences in order to put them in the TV series. This is why most of Charlie’s personality is actually Mia’s.

Death threats

Mia’s parents are very careful when it comes to their daughter, especially when everybody knows the dangers that this show business can bring. This is why they have full control over her social media accounts and all the information that appear about their daughter.

Even so, in January 2014 parents reported that a Twitter user was making death threats over their child. The messages were telling Mia to kill herself and he even sent a picture of her face and a bloody fist. Mia’s parents filed a complaint to the Police who are very protective when it comes to children. These death threats were considered very dangerous but nobody could understand what could make a person say all those horrible things to a 6 years-old child. Later on, the user was not identified and rumors started to say that the threats were actually fake. Again, there was no reason for this to happen but people thought that this kind of attention could attract even more audience to the show.

Things Mia likes

Mia is a lovely child who has everything a child wants. She says that her favorite color is pink, while her favorite thing is playdates. Her innocence has impressed a lot of people, and Good Luck Charlie’s audience loved her since her first episode. Images with her during shooting the episodes made her even more loved by the audience. She also loves animals and her favorite pets are dogs. Although her age is so small, she managed to gather a net worth of $2 million.
