Michael Dorn was born on December 9, 1952, in Luling, Texas, to parents Allie and Fentress Dorn. Although born in Texas, Dorn was raised in Pasadena, California, where he attended Pasadena City College. There, he studied radio and television production while concurrently developing an interest in music. He showcased his early musical talents by performing with several rock bands during his college years.

Acting Debut and Early Career
Dorn began his acting career with an uncredited role as Apollo Creed’s bodyguard in the 1976 film Rocky. He later appeared in a guest role on the television series W.E.B., where his performance captured the interest of a producer. This connection led to him meeting an agent and finding an acting coach. Dorn studied under Charles Conrad for six months, refining his craft before moving into more prominent roles.
Breakthrough with Star Trek
Michael Dorn is best known for his iconic role as the Klingon character Worf in the Star Trek franchise.
