Michael Aaron Fishman was born on October 22, 1981, in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in the coastal neighborhood of Long Beach and is the middle child of three siblings. His sister, Robyn Fishman, is older, and his brother, Matthew Fishman, is younger. His father, Nelson Fishman, worked as a gem dealer, while his mother, Darlene Fishman, was a medical assistant and also taught at a junior college.
