Michael Christopher Sheen was born on February 5, 1969 in Newport, United Kingdom. He was born as the only son of Irene (Thomas) and Meyrick Sheen. The charming, handsome, and curly-haired actor grew up as a middle-class boy in a working-class town.

Even though his parents worked in the personnel industry, they shared a deep appreciation for acting with their son. His father, Meyrick Sheen enjoyed some sweet success later in life as a Jack Nicholson impersonator that would entertain audiences around the United Kingdom.

Acting Career

After finishing up his acting training at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he mainly performed in theatre throughout the 1990s. He made some very notable stage appearances in productions like Romeo and Juliet (1992), Don't Fool With Love (1993), Peer Gynt (1994), The Seagull (1995), The Homecoming (1997), and Henry V (1997).

Michael’s amazing performances in Amadeus at the Old Vic and Look Back in Anger at the National Theatre were nominated for Olivier Awards in 1998 and 1999 which were just bits in the list of Michael’s accomplishments.
