Career in Television

McNearney began her career in the entertainment industry as an assistant on the late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2003. Over time, she advanced through the ranks to become co-head writer of the show, a position she held for several years. Her writing contributions have played a key role in shaping the tone, humor, and success of the program.

In addition to her work on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, McNearney has also contributed to high-profile events and specials, including writing for the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards. She was also involved in the 2008 television special Big Night of Stars.

Molly McNearney began dating television host Jimmy Kimmel in 2009 after several years of working together. The couple got engaged in 2012 and were married on July 13, 2013. McNearney is Jimmy Kimmel’s second wife. Through their marriage, she became the stepmother of his two children from his previous marriage—Katie Kimmel and Kevin Kimmel.
