Myles Richard Bass, popularly known as Myles Kennedy now, came to life on November 27th 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He is a vocalist and a guitarist by profession. He was born to the parents Richard Bass, who died when Myles was pretty young, and his mother, who later married a politician with the surname ‘Kennedy’ and hence Myles got the name Kennedy in the last. At a very early age Myles shifted to Spokane, Washington and grew up in Spokane only. He joined high school there and participated and performed in the school Jazz and Marching band where he played Guitar and Trumpet. He started playing musical instruments at the age of 10 years. Post High School, Mike joined ‘Spokane Falls Community College’ to understand and learn Music. Myles is staying with his present wife, Selena Frank whom he married in May 2003. Myles is suffering from a disease named ‘Tinnitus’ in which a person hears different sounds even when there is no sound nearby. Myles is a Christian by religion but does not believe in any religion. He places himself somewhere between being an atheist and Christianity and is not sure of the existence of God. Apart from singing and performing on Guitar, Myles also likes to read and write.
According to his Biography, Myles Kennedy is currently associated with a rock band ‘Alter Bridge’ and another Band led by his friend ‘Slash. Kennedy started his music career with the rock band ‘Cosmic Dust’ where he performed as a lead guitarist. He came out with debut album with the band ‘Cosmic Dust’ in 1991 named ‘Journey’. Later on he joined the band named ‘Citizen Swing’ and as a part of the band, he came out with 2 music albums in the years 1993 and 1995. He left the band in 1995 and went on to form his own band ‘The Mayfield Four’ with his friends and released two music albums ‘Fallout’ and Second Skin’ in 1998 and 2001 respectively. In 2003, he joined a rock band with the name ‘Alter Bridge’ and worked on 4 music albums with the band and is currently associated with the band itself. He also worked for an album with another band led by his guitarist friend ‘Slash’. Apart from music albums, Myles has also worked in a short cameo role in the movie ‘Rock Star’ and he also appeared on one of the episodes of ‘World Wrestling Entertainment’.
