Nana Eikura (榮倉 奈々) was born on February 12, 1988, in Izumi, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Sagamihara, Kanagawa. Passionate and ambitious from a young age, she expressed early interest in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.
Her introduction to the public eye began when she was scouted in front of the iconic 109 department store in Shibuya, Tokyo, during her school years. As a teenager, she launched her modeling career with the popular fashion magazine Seventeen. Her prominence in the magazine was shared with other rising models such as Emi Suzuki.
Following her success as a model, Eikura gradually transitioned into television and film work. She began appearing in commercials and TV shows, eventually establishing herself as an actress. Over the course of seven years, she reportedly underwent noticeable physical changes for various roles, showing dedication to her craft.
In 2006, she appeared on the Tokai TV program The MMA Kingdom, where she interviewed mixed martial artist Mark Hunt during the PRIDE Critical Countdown Absolute event. Despite playful media speculation around nicknames such as “Spider Eikura” and “Samoan Eikura,” these names were never widely recognized or officially adopted.
Throughout her career, Nana Eikura has worked with numerous well-known brands. She partnered with actress and radio personality Masami Nagasawa in several television commercials. Her endorsement portfolio includes major companies such as Coca-Cola, the Japanese Red Cross, Japan Post Service, Johnson & Johnson Japan, KDDI’s au, Lion Corporation, and Nintendo, notably promoting the video game Rhythm Heaven.
She also appeared alongside model Nozomi Sasaki in the motorsport-focused publication Racing On, reflecting her broad appeal beyond fashion and beauty industries.
Eikura debuted in film with a role in Space Police (2004). Her film career gained momentum in 2007 with performances in Boku wa Imouto ni Koi o Suru, Lemon no Koro, Shibuyaku Maruyamacho, and Awa Dance. In 2009, she starred in April Bride, a notable romantic drama.
She later appeared in critically acclaimed projects such as Antoki no Inochi (2011) and Tokyo Park (2011), directed by Shinji Aoyama. Her most recent film appearances were in the 2016 two-part drama 64: Part I and 64: Part II.
