Nicole de Boer is known as a Canadian actress. She is most famous for starring as Joan Leaven in the cult film Cube. She is also well known for playing Ezri Dax on the final season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and for playing Sarah Bannerman on the USA network series, The Dead Zone.

Background

Nicole de Boer was born on December 20, 1970 in Toronto, Canada. She began her acting career as a little in her hometown of Toronto. As a shy little girl growing up, she came home one day and told her family that she had gotten the lead role in the stage play "The Wizard of Oz". Her family was shocked because they didn’t think that their shy little girl had the courage to act. They supported her dreams and with the blessing of her parents, her grandmother helped her find an acting agent.

Acting Career

Nicole she made her television acting debut in a Christmas Special starring Red Skelton and Vincent Price. During her childhood, Nicole was active in commercials and theatre roles. She was cast as a series regular in the CBC drama 9B in 1988 when she was 17 years old.

In 1996, she made her feature film debut in Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy. She co-starred in National Lampoon's Senior Trip with Matt Frewer and Tommy Chong in 1995. She was a featured cast member in the critically received sci-fi horror film Cube in 1997.
