She began her career in Journalism in 1981. For a start, she was Ralph Nader’s writer. Later on, they both wrote a book together about the Reagan Ronald Administration. She was a staff reporter in 1984 for Legal Times based in Washington D.C. later on she wrote for the BusinessWeek and then for The American Banker. She went on to become the staff writer for the Los Angeles Times. Easton held that position for ten years, between 1988 and 1998. She wrote very well that she even got a National Award in 1994.
