Pablo Schreiber is a Canadian-American actor known for his compelling performances in film and television. He was born on April 26, 1978, in Ymir, British Columbia, Canada. His father, Tell Schreiber, is an American actor, while his mother is Canadian and worked as a psychotherapist specializing in body-centered therapy. Pablo was named after the famed Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda. Raised on a rural commune, Schreiber spent his early years in British Columbia until his parents separated when he was 12. After the separation, he moved with his father to Seattle, Washington.

Schreiber initially enrolled at the University of San Francisco but later transferred to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. There, he earned a degree in theatre from the School of Drama, laying the foundation for his professional acting career.
Television and Film Career
Pablo Schreiber gained recognition for his role as Nick Sobotka in the critically acclaimed HBO series The Wire (2003–2008). He later became widely known for portraying George "Pornstache" Mendez on Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, a role that solidified his reputation for playing complex, often antagonistic characters.
His television appearances also include roles in The Good Wife (2011), Weeds (2011–2012), and Person of Interest (2012). In addition to his television work, Schreiber has appeared in a variety of films, including The Manchurian Candidate (2004) and Lords of Dogtown (2005).
Critical Recognition
In 2015, Schreiber garnered a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role in Orange Is the New Black. The previous year, he was honored with the "We Love to Hate You" Award at the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards, also for his performance as Mendez.
Personal Life
In 2007, Pablo Schreiber married yoga instructor Jessica Monty. The couple has two sons, Timoteo and Dante. Jessica filed for divorce in 2014, citing irreconcilable differences. Despite their separation, Schreiber remains actively involved in his children's lives.
