Paul Menard was born 1980 and he is American professional driver of stock car racing. He now drives Chevrolet SS of no 27 in NASCAR Sprint Cup series and he is under Richard Childress Racing and he also drives the No 2 Chevrolet CAmaro of Xfiniity Series for the RCR but on the basis of part time. He is a son for Midwestern Home improvement personnel called John Menard Jr who is a founder for Menards Chain.
The racing career of Menard started when he was 8 years old and he got Briggs Junior Karting Class Championship while in his native city of Eau Claire of Wisconsin. Afterwards, he won the Briggs Medium Class Championship and he continued to work his way to a higher level. He started ice racing when he was only 15 years old and he was able to win 10 events of International Ice Racing Associations. He was competing in the IIRA events in the city of Wisconsin.
During the summers, he was racing for legends cars for the short tracks of Wisconsin. He was using Late Model of Bryan Reffners for over a week and he was able to win the heat race and he was placed at the fourth in the round. Afterwards, he decided that he wanted to build own model and raced his own car, three or four times every week. When he was asked why he decided to use stock cars and not Indy Cars, he said the reason was because there is no feeder series of Indy Cars in Native Wisconsin.
From his biography, Paul Menard started to race in NASCAR Re/Max Challenge Series in the year 2000 and he finishes at the 13th in the points. When he was in a rookie season of 2001, he got the pole and the victory at the Road America of Elkhart Lake and he finished on a ninth in the points. In the 2002 Season, Menard competed in the REMax Challenge and become the seventh in the points.
