Pedro Pascal is a Chilean actor who was born on April 2, 1975, in Santiago, Chile. Pascal was born to his child psychologist other and his father, Jose Balmaceda who was a fertility doctor. Both of Pascal's parents were Allende supporters and were both involved in the opposition movement against the US-backed military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet in Chile. Soon after he was born, his parents were granted political asylum in Denmark. They eventually moved to Orange County, California and San Antonio, Texas where Pascal spent his childhood. Pascal studied acting at the Orange County School of the Arts and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Pascal got his start in the film business when he appeared in the television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". His career in television took off and he was also cast in television series "The Good Wife", "Homeland", "The Mentalist" and "Graceland". Pascal is probably best known for his role in the fourth season of the HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones" where he plays Oberyn Martell. He is currently living in New York City where he has been for over 20 years and is slated to appear in the upcoming live-action Star Wars series "The Mandalorian" on Disney's new streaming service.
