Beyond his royal duties, Prince William has a range of personal interests and hobbies. He is an avid polo player, often participating in charity matches to raise funds for various causes. A passionate motorcyclist, he enjoys riding alongside his brother, Prince Harry, who owns a Ducati 1198 S Corse. He is also a dedicated supporter of sports in the United Kingdom. A lifelong fan of Aston Villa Football Club, he serves as the President of the English Football Association (FA). Since 2007, he has acted as the Vice Royal Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), and in 2014, he became President of the British Sub-Aqua Club, continuing a family tradition previously held by both his father and grandfather.

Marriage and Family Life

Prince William’s personal life attracted sustained public interest, particularly regarding his long-term relationship with Catherine Middleton. After years of speculation, the couple announced their engagement in November 2010 during a trip to Kenya. Their engagement marked a significant moment in royal modernity and tradition, although it was met initially with cautious enthusiasm by some royal observers. They married on April 29, 2011, in a widely televised ceremony at Westminster Abbey. On the same day, Queen Elizabeth II granted William the dukedom of Cambridge.

The royal couple welcomed their first child, Prince George, in July 2013 and their second child, Princess Charlotte, on May 2, 2015.
