In Aug 2020, it was announced that Rashel Díaz and María Celeste Arrarás, the host of Telemundo's evening program "Al Rojo Vivo" were both let go from the network. They are among the numerous staff members laid off across the nation as part of parent organization NBCUniversal's workforce decreases which started in August 2020. Arrarás showed up to Telemundo in 2002. Her departure from Univision following 15 years stood out as truly newsworthy. Arrarás last signed a multi-year contract with Telemundo in 2016.

Díaz was the last unique co-host of morning show propelled in 2008, at first called "Levántate," before getting renamed to "Un Nuevo Día." "Un Nuevo Día" will now just have just two primary hosts, Adamari López and Stephanie "Chiquibaby" Himonidis. Héctor Sandarti left the program in May.

Telemundo had good things to say about their departing anchors. The network said Diaz and Arrarás had been symbols and vital parts of Telemundo's development to turn into a strong Spanish-language channel. They were both honor winning journalists with the responsibility to serve their audience. Telemundo was incredibly thankful for their commitment to Hispanics and Telemundo's prosperity over the years.

Marriage, Husband, and Kids

Rashel has been married twice and has two children. She got married to her boyfriend, Lisandro Rodriguez in 2011. The reasons for their split is unknown. Rashel is now married to Carlos Garcia. Her husband, Carlos is a firefighter at the City of Miami Fire Rescue Department. Carlos and Rashel are Christians and they both come from large families.
