In the 2000s, Rebecca De Mornay continued to act in a variety of projects, demonstrating her range across genres. Her film appearances included the teen musical drama Raise Your Voice (2004), the cult-skateboarding biopic Lords of Dogtown (2005), the dark comedy Wedding Crashers (2005), the Canadian drama American Venus (2007), and the biographical film Music Within (2007). In 2007, she also starred as Cissy Yost in the short-lived, but critically noted HBO series John from Cincinnati. More recently, she appeared in the action-thriller I Am Wrath (2016), playing Vivian Hill, and in 2015 portrayed Dorothy Walker in the Marvel television series Jessica Jones.
