Born in a family of theater workers in the environs of Montclair, New Jersey, Richard Burgi traveled through the US and Europe before becoming a full-time actor. During this time of biography he took many odd jobs to make sustenance possible and finally became what he was destined to become _ an actor.At his home, Burgi was used to playing detective character since his childhood and used to do everything mentioned in the Detective Novels. He was next seen in Cellular aired in 2004 and in a romance In Her Shoes where he is playing Toni Colette`s love interest. He began getting roles in films like Hostel: Part II, a police officer in Friday the 13th and a doctor in Nip/Tuck. He also made guest appearances in Harper`s Island, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Hot in Cleveland. He has played every kind of role with an artistic aura around him that mesmerizes the audiences beyond expectations.
