Robyn Lawley was born on June 13, 1989, in Girraween, New South Wales, Australia. Lawley’s first fashion shoot was for Australian bimonthly teen magazine Dolly in 2006. In June of 2011, Lawley was featured on the cover of Vogue Italia alongside fellow plus sized models Tara Lynn and Candice Huffine. Lawley was selected for Sydney Magazine's Top 100 Most Influential People of the year award for 2011. In 2012, Lawley was the first plus sized model to appear on the cover of an Australian fashion magazine. In June of 2013, Lawley was awarded Model of the Year during the Full Figured Fashion Week. Robin Lawley produced a swimwear line in collaboration with Blond-Eye Swimwear in August of 2013.
She also produces a food blog, Robyn Lawley Eats, which led her to a contract with Random House for the publication of a cookbook. In 2015, Robyn was featured in the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated magazine, making her the first plus sized model ever featured by the magazine.
