Rosanna Scotto was born on April 28, 1958, in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, New York. She was raised in a close-knit Italian-American family and is the daughter of Anthony Scotto, a former union leader with connections to organized labor. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from The Catholic University of America in 1980 before beginning her career in television journalism.
