Education

For grade 9-10, Peter joined the Chinguacousy Secondary School, while for grades 11-12, he attended in Bramalea, North Peel Secondary School. He was frequently bullied in school, this was due to his Indian ethnicity. Well he finally got a solution to stop all the bullying. He went for boxing class and this was of great benefit for him and resisted the bullying.

Career

In 1989, Peter started his performance in Toronto. After this, he went on to do several performance in countries worldwide. Peter met his biggest influencer, George Carlin in 1992. George instructed that he should get back to the platform wherever and whenever it was possible for him. Well as a wise son to a father, Peter heeded to this instruction to mind and said this was the reason why he is where he is today. In 2007, which was 15 years when he took the advice of his mentor, he hosted one of the last shows of George Carlin before Carlin dead the coming year. The show Comedy Now was the titled of the show which was Peter’s performance in 2004 on the Canadian TV was uploaded on YouTube and this performance spread like wildfire and to him, this was the point that his career took another turn for the best. The video was a 45 minute performance and many users of YouTube isolated the area where Peter dedicated on individual cultural groups. His stand up shows showcase observational comedy through the use of humor to pinpoint ethnic, racial, cultural stereotypes and class. He states to his experience while he was growing up an Anglo-Indian Family, imitates the various accents of different ethnic groups just to poke some fun at them.

Personal

Russell Peters a famous DJ in Toronto prior to him becoming a comedian. He is a lover of hip hop and had to learn boxing to ward off those bullies in school. His father was a meat inspector. According to Forbes international, Russell Peters is recorded to be the 3rd richest comedian in existence. Though he is an Indian but has a displeasure for Bollywood songs and has several times had roars with some of the most legendary families of the Bollywood, such as the Bachchans. Well as they say, if you don’t like me, I won’t like you, most of Bollywood stars are enraged as a result of his jokes towards Bollywood.

Peters has different ladies, one of such is the actress and former Pornstar Sunny Leone. Their relationship was for a short period of time. This was in 2008. He finally proposed on the 10th of July, 2010 to Monica Diaz. This engagement occurred by the Los Angeles International Airport that he proposed to her and used a social media site, Twitter to make the announcement of their engagement. Well, they eventually got married on the 20th of August 2010, at Las Vegas at the Little White Wedding Chapel. About 20 guest attended and among the guest was Elvis Impersonator. After the wedding, it didn’t take that much time for Peter to inform the Press about the pregnancy of his wife, Diaz. There was rumors about how she was already pregnant before the couples got married. Due to this Russell Peters as about 4 Ex Girlfriend and one of it he's high school crush and one before he was famous in the 90's. 

Well it was later confirmed that the pregnancy accelerated their wedding plans. His wife, Diaz gave birth to a baby girl called Crystianna Peters. She was born on the 14th of December, 2010. Celebrity with divorce and his wasn’t an exception. Peters unveiled in March 2012 during an interview his wife and him were divorcing and he is currently betrothed with Ruzanna Khetchian. Currently living in Los Angeles, California. At Los Angeles, he is the owner of two homes. Well another in Vaughan, Ontario and Las Vegas. Peter in 2010 created the Scholarship foundation which he called Russell Peters North Peel. The award from this scheme was worth $20,000 with the objective of financing individual to a period of three years in college. It was specifically for students at the Judith Nyman Secondary School, which was formerly known as North Peel. This award was yearly award and for students that has an excellent educational grades and has an intention of furthering their education to college.

Notable performances

He is a record breaker. In 2007 he became the first comedian that sold more than 16,000 tickets in two days for a single show. The show sell out Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. At the end of it all, the total sales for the two day period amounted to 30,000 tickets. Then in 2009, he broke another record in the sales at UK. He sold 16,000 tickets at London’s O2 Arena. On the 15th of May, 2010 in Sydney, he had an audience of about 13,880. This event made it one of the largest show that has been held in Australia. This show was a stand-up comedy show. Another record was set at Singapore Indoor Stadium on the 5th and 6th of May, 2012 for a single stand-up comedy. Presently, he produces the comedy series Monsoon House and feature on the show on CBC Radio One. So much can be written about his life. He wrote a book titled “Call Me Russell”
