Background
Ryan Destiny was born on January 8, 1995 in Detroit, Michigan as Ryan Destiny Irons. When she was in junior high school, she created the musical trio New Limit with her friend, Jasmine Pore and another close friend. The group was managed by her mother Dawn. Dawn got the young trio an audition for America's Got Talent in 2011 and they made it to the third round until they decided to quit because they weren’t feeling the whole process.
Music Career
In 2011, Destiny signed with an independent label in Michigan and began taking voice and dance lessons to further her career. After her girl group, Love Dollhouse broke up in 2015, she signed with Capitol Records to pursue a solo career as a recording artist.
Acting Career
Ryan initially won the role of Tiana on Lee Daniels's hit musical drama Empire but due to her contract with record label, All Def Music, she was not allowed to accept the role. Things would pick up for Destiny as she got a lead role as Alexandra in Daniels' new series Star in 2016.
