Scooter Gennett is known as an American professional baseball second baseman for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball. He is most famous for being the 17th player in history to hit four home runs in a single game.

Ryan Joseph "Scooter" Gennett was born on May 1, 1990 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born to father Joe Gennett and mother Tina Gennett. His father, Joe was a scout with the Astros. He has a sister named Kristen LaRoche. The family moved from Cincinnati to Florida with the goal that he could play baseball all year. For his education, he went to Sarasota High School from which he graduated in 2009.

Career and Net Worth

Scooter started his career in the year 2009 and he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the sixteenth round in the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He played for Milwaukee Brewers for the 2012 All-Star Futures Game. Gennett appeared in 2013 against Oakland Athletics and later, he and the Brewers signed a one-year, $2.525 million contract for 2017 on December 3, 2016.

On June 6, 2017, Scooter Gennett recorded four homers including a grand slam, making him the first in Reds history to hit four home runs in a game and the seventeenth player in MLB history. It was a big accomplishment for Scooter because only sixteen other players have ever reached that record. Hitting two home runs in a single game is tough but Scooter doubled that. He also hit his twentieth home run of the season on August 14, 2017. Additionally, he was named to 2018 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Similarly, he completed the season with 23 homers, 92 RBIs, and a .310.

In July 2019, Scooter was obtained by the Giants from the Reds at the trade deadline. He changed his Twitter profile to read: "I Love God, my Family and my Team the San Francisco Giants." Scooter was in Cincinnati when the was declared. He needed to toss a few socks and shirts in a carry-on and bug out to Philadelphia where the Giants are playing the Phillies next.
