Sean Astin is the son of yesteryears actress Patty Duke and his supposed biological father is Michael Tell, a former music producer. He was adopted by John Astin after his mother married him in 1972. Despite of a divorce between the two, Sean has reportedly always considered John as his real dad. Sean made his on-screen debut at the tender of thirteen, before eventually making a career of it. He reportedly started dating his first girlfriend and aspiring actress Christine in 1991, before they got into a union of marriage on 11th July 1992. Provided that Sean had an extremely clean image, since he mostly got roles that didn’t require romancing women on screen, their relation was pretty much supposed to be a hit. He wasn’t one of the Hollywood heath-throbs that women ran after and he had no history of any affair to look after, either.

Their relationship continued to grow strong, along with Sean’s own professional life, where he was being offered to lend voices for characters in anime and cartoons. He got into a contract of sorts with Disney as he lent voices for almost every movie it released during the late 80s and early 90s. He even directed a movie and co-produced a movie with his wife in 1992, Kangaroo Court which received academy award nomination. This couple didn’t just jingle off screen but was happily showing their union on the red carpet arena as well!

In 1996, their bond just got stronger with the birth of their first child in the form of daughter Alexandra Louis Astin whom he described as being the love of his life, in an interview. While he continued to work and search for more demanding roles in films, his wife managed the house quite wonderfully as their marital life ran quite smoothly. While he never got to play a protagonist’s role in a big budget film, he finally landed in the role of Samwise that earned him limelight after a long career.  The film itself was a super hit given it’s adaptation from the already-hit book series. Lady luck seemed to be his driving factor as his wife gave birth to their second daughter Elizabeth in 2002 when he was shooting for the second part of the film. The next year, as the trilogy concluded after its final part, Sean was already a star. It earned him critical acclaim all around and even earned him nominations for academy awards. Two years later, his wife gave birth to their third daughter Isabelle Louis Astin in 2005.

While they got married at the tender age of 20, their relationship continues to go smooth and with three beautiful daughters, Sean’s personal life just like his professional life seems to be on a perfect note.
