Sean Tuohy

Sean Tuohy is known as an American sports commentator, public speaker, restaurant owner, and former college basketball player. He is most famous for being the adoptive father of former NFL player, Michael Oher.

Sean Albro Tuohy was born on November 23, 1959, in New Orleans, LA. He was raised in a Roman Catholic family by his parents, Mida and Edward "Skeets" Tuohy. Sean attended Newman High School in the 1980s. He played sports in school and he was even drafted by the Cincinnati Reds to play professional baseball but he turned down the offer to pursue a college degree. Sports paved Sean's way through high school and college. Tuohy went on to attend the University of Mississippi on a basketball scholarship. Tuohy was a member of the Mississippi Alpha chapter of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

Career and Net Worth

In 1981, Sean Tuohy went on to take the Ole Miss Rebels to their first SEC Men's Basketball Tournament championship. When Tuohy graduated from Ole Miss, he broke each significant SEC assist record. Tuohy had become a legend in the SEC because he drove Ole Miss to their first-ever SEC championship. He was eventually drafted by the NBA's New Jersey Nets the following year. After an unsuccessful run in the NBA, Tuohy went on to proceed with his career abroad before coming back to the US to be with his father during his last days

Sean and his wife are both successful business owners. They own over 85 fast-food franchises ranging from Taco Bell to Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Sean is one of the most popular public speakers and has offered talks to an expansive range of crowds from Fortune 500 corporations to school grounds. Preceding Tuohy's NBA Broadcasting career, he worked for the radio station at Ole Miss and also as a broadcaster for Westwood One and CBS radio. While attending college, Sean met his future wife, Leigh Anne. Tuohy married his wife Leigh Anne in 1982 and they went on to have two children together. They are the proud guardians of a daughter named Collins and sons named Michael Oher and Sean Junior.
