Acting Career and Cult Status

Sossamon gained recognition for her roles in a variety of independent and mainstream films. She earned critical acclaim for her performance in Wristcutters: A Love Story, a romantic fantasy based on the novella Pizzeria Kamikaze, which tells the story of a posthumous world for people who have died by suicide. The film received a cult following for its inventive narrative and stylistic approach.

She also appeared in horror films such as One Missed Call, an American adaptation of the Japanese original, which earned her a Teen Choice Award nomination. In 2015, she starred in Sinister 2, adding another supernatural thriller to her résumé.
