Shiri Spear is an American meteorologist known for her work on the FOX 25 Weather Team in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born in 1981 in Hollis, New Hampshire. Shiri initially attended McGill University in Montreal, Canada, before transferring to Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary mathematics education.
After teaching pre-algebra to seventh-grade students, Shiri decided to follow her passion for meteorology. She earned a Master of Science degree in atmospheric and environmental science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2007.
Spear began her professional meteorology career at WWLP-TV 22 in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she worked as a weather forecaster for over three years. In 2010, she moved to Miami, Florida, to join WTVJ, the NBC-owned station.
