Early life

When Song Hye-Kyo was still a little girl, her parents got divorced. She subsequently lived with her mother who moved to Seoul in the District of Gangnam. When she was in elementary school, she learned to be a figure skater. She however stopped the figure skating lesson when she was in grade 8. She thinks of herself as being an introvert and shy, her teacher in high school however described her as been cheerful, relates well and always happy.

Career

When Song Hye-Kyo was in high school in the year 1996, she came first in the Smart Model Contest of SunKyung. She also for the first time acted as a model for a company which deals on school uniforms. This resulted in her being noticed and given a little role to act in a drama on television which is titled First Love. She subsequently features in many sitcoms and dramas, one the most common being Soonpoong Clinic. She however became famous in her role in a movie which was released in the year 2000 titled Autumn in My Heart. She co-acted the movie with Won Bin and Song Seung-heon.

Her fame continued to rise in the year 2003 where she acted in a movie titled All in, where she acted in a lead role with Lee Byung-hun. In the year 2004, she co-acted with Rain – a musciain, in a funny and romantic movie titled Full House.

She subsequently acted in My Girl and I, being her first big-screen movie due to the success of Full House across the whole of Asia. Other movies she acted in include The Crossing: Part 1 and 2, The Queens, My Brilliant Life, The Grandmaster, A Reason to Live, Coundown, Camellia – Love for Sale, Make Yourself at Home and Hwang Jin Yi.

Some of her tv shows include Descendants of the Sun, That Winter, the Wind Blows, World Within, Full House, Sunlight Down and Hotelier amongst many others. Though she does not have a full music Song Hye-Kyomov, he has also featured in some music videos including Once Upon a Day, Curious Destiny and This Promise amongst others.

Endorsements

Song has enjoyed a large variety of endorsements over her acting career. Some international organizations and groups she has endorsed include J. ESTINA, Vivien Bra, FHM, LG, Olay, Nitendo DS Animal Crossing, Conway and McDonalds Ice Cream. Others include Roem, Innisfree, Aritaum, Whitea, Elude House, Levi’s Lady Style and Laneige amongst others.

Personal Life

Song Hye-Kyo who does not have a husband at the moment, started dating Lee Byung-hun, an actor in the year 2003 when they were featuring in the movie titled All in. They however broke up in the year 2004. In 2009, she and Hyun made public their relationship. They were however hardly seen together in public.

Awards

She has won a number of awards over time, with the most recent ones being Top Excellence Award and Top 10 Stars at the SBS Drama Awards. She was also nominated for a number of other awards.
