Terri has released and been a part of countless albums in her vast musical career. She has released albums and corroborated on songs which have won all kinds of awards, even the famous Grammy award which she has won three of. Her many albums are loved by jazz fans all over the globe and she has garnered quite the fan base. Her sound is fantastic and is soothing to the soul. Some of her albums include: "Real Life Story" released in 1989, "Jazz Is a Spirit" released in 2002, "Structure" released in 2004, "More to Say" released in 2009, "The Mosaic Project" released in 2011 and went on to win a Grammy award, "Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue" released in 2013 and also went on to win a Grammy Award, and "The Mosaic Project: Love and Soul" released in 2015.
Also in the beginning of 2005, Terri returned to her hometown where she was appointed professor at her alma mater, Berklee College of Music, where she was given a scholarship at the age of 11. As of now, she currently holds the position of Zildjian Chair in Performance, Berklee Global Jazz Institute. Terri also works as the Artistic Director for both the Beantown Jazz Festival and Berklee Summer Jazz Workshop, and she also holds the position of Co Artistic Director of The Carr Center, which is located in Detroit, MI.
In addition to her musical project, The Mosaic Project, Terri recently joined together with David Murray and Geri Allen to form the musical power group, the MAC Power Trio. The trios current release is a musical tribute to Ornette Coleman, and it is called Perfection. Terri is also currently travelling around the world on tour with her latest musical jazz band, Social Science. The band also features famous musicians Aaron Parks and Matt Stevens.
There is no news of her being married or having a husband since she keeps her personal life very private. There is news of her flying around in the media all around but she manages to dodge the media speculation and gets back to what she does best. Currently she lives in New York.
