Early Life and Background

Toby Regbo comes from a family of Norwegian descent. The surname "Regbo" was reportedly adopted by ancestors to distinguish themselves from the more common surname "Hanson." As such, Regbo is related to approximately 20 individuals who share this uniquely adopted family name.

His maternal grandfather worked as a ship captain on an Italian cruise liner, while his maternal grandmother was a ballerina in Australia. Despite these international ties, Regbo’s mother was raised in London, where he himself was also brought up.

He attended the Latymer Upper School in West London, a prestigious independent school known for producing numerous creative talents. From a young age, Regbo showed a keen interest in acting and honed his craft by joining the Young Blood Theatre Company, which helped develop his early performance skills.

Another highly notable appearance came when he portrayed the young Albus Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1. Though a brief role, it garnered attention due to the film's global prominence and iconic status in cinema.
