Jones participated in the UPN series “America’s Next Top Model” and stood 7th in the competition. Though she has never won the title, but with her beauty and unending talents, she was able to caught many eyes on her which later helped her get many modeling assignments. She is the winner of the “Cover Girl of the Week” for almost 5 times in the show and she was voted as one of the most memorable contestants by AOL Entertainment.

She attended “Stivers School for the Arts” in Dayton and there she got majored in theatre and dance. Later on, Jones was awarded by the “Middletown Ohio NAACP” at the “Freedom Fund Gala”. After getting out of the show, Jones accompanied Wilhelmina Models as a plus sized model.

In the year 2011, she again caught in the limelight for her achievement in the weight loss program she took. She lost for about 25 pounds in merely 2 months of the weight loss program and transformed her body into a well-shaped figure. With gaining enough confidence in her body, she declared that she is not ashamed of exposing her perfect body and reveals the secret that helped her getting the perfect shape and that was regular exercise, proper sleep and a healthy diet.

Starting her career as a model, she later took keen interest in becoming a singer and actress and also appeared as a TV presenter.

Jones has modeled for many known brands and magazines including “New York and Company”, “Vibe Magazine King’, “Smooth Magazine”, “Target”, and “Essence Magazine”. Her runway shows are “Luxe & Romnce Fall” 2005, “Hot 97’s Third Annual Full Frontal Hip Hop Fashion Show”, BET presents: “Rip The Runway 2 and others”. She also was selected to become a part of “Rocawear I Will Not Lose campaign representing the Rocawear plus-size line for full-figured females”. She is also awarded with the second black plus-size entertainer (after Jennifer Hudson) and the first black plus-size model to appear in the famous magazine “Vogue”.

Talking about her television career then she appeared on many shows like she co-hosted a show “106 & Park”, and she occasionally appeared on the “The Tyra Bank Show” and apart from these there are several shows in which she appeared.

Even after she achieved immense popularity, she hasn’t been married yet. Earlier in her life, she had two relationships, one with Michael Kyser, with whom she maintained a relation of 2 years and the couple got parted away in the year 2010. Presently, she is dating Jason Newsome and both have been together since the year 2013.
