Tracy Spiridakos was born on February 20, 1988, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, to parents George and Anastasia Spiridakos. She is of Greek descent and spent much of her early childhood in Skala, Greece, alongside her two brothers. In 1992, her family returned to Canada, where she later pursued her passion for acting.

In 2007, Spiridakos moved to Vancouver to further her career in acting. Shortly after her arrival, she landed her first TV role—a brief appearance as a nurse on the series Supernatural. That same year, she appeared as Annie in Bionic Woman and as Liz in Aliens in America.
She gained wider recognition in 2009 for her lead role as Becky Richards in the teen comedy series Majority Rules! Her performance brought her into the spotlight and led to more prominent roles. In 2012, she took on one of her most notable roles as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic drama Revolution. She later played Annika Johnson in the critically acclaimed series Bates Motel in 2015.
Throughout her television career, Spiridakos has appeared in numerous shows, including The L Word (2009), Psych (2010), Hellcats (2010), Tower Prep (2010), Soldiers of the Apocalypse (2011), Mortal Kombat: Legacy (2011), Being Human as Brynn McLean (2012), and Episodes as Dawn Randolph (2014).
