Tracy Lee Tweed, famously known as Tracy Tweed, is a Canadian actress and model and the younger sister of actress Shannon Tweed. She is most recognized for her role in the 1995 film "Johnny Mnemonic." She has also appeared in "Night Rhythms," "Night Eyes 3," "Live Wire," "Sunset Heat," and "Gene Simmons Family Jewels."
Tracy Tweed was born in St John's, Newfoundland, on May 10, 1965, to a mink rancher and was raised on a mink ranch near Markland. Tweed was the youngest in a family of seven children. Shannon Tweed, Sara Tweed, Kim Tweed, Lance Tweed, and Jeff Tweed are her siblings. After her father was in a terrible automobile accident that left him in a coma and ruined his mink ranching business, the family moved to her mother's family home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, when she was a youngster. They lived on government welfare. Shannon Tweed got into beauty pageants after having breast augmentation surgery at the age of 20.
Tracy Tweed attended an elementary school in Saskatoon, Canada. After her primary education, she joined a high school in Saskatoon, Canada. There is no information on whether she went to college. On the other hand, her famous sister Shannon Tweed attended an elementary school in St. John's, Canada.
Tweed finished third in the Miss Ottawa Pageant in 1978 and won the Miss Canada talent competition for her singing.
Playboy magazine picked Tweed as the Playmate of November 1981 issue and Playmate of the Year for 1982, after the Canadian wish-fulfillment TV series Thrill of a Lifetime arranged a photo shoot. In a Playboy pictorial, Tweed and her sister Tracy are featured together.
Tweed was most known for his B movies and TV shows, including HBO's 1st and Ten and the prime-time serial opera Falcon Crest. Tweed has been on Frasier as a guest star. She also appeared in the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants in the episode "20,000 Patties Under the Sea," which included Gene Simmons as a guest star.
Tweed's first significant theatrical appearance was in the horror thriller Of Unknown Origin (1983). Since then, Tweed has acted in almost 60 films, including Detroit Rock City, produced by Simmons and released in 1999. In the film Night, Eyes 3, Tweed and her sister Tracy co-starred. She is regarded as one of the most successful mainstream erotica actors. Tweed has been dubbed "one of home video's most rented sensual thriller queens" by Vanity Fair.
From 2006 through 2012, Tweed and her family were featured in the television reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels. Simmons' proposal to her and their subsequent marriage at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, was one of the series' highlights. Tweed's old city of Saskatoon was the setting for an episode of the show in 2010. She was given an honorary street sign commemorating the (nonexistent) "Tweed Lane" during her visit. Tourism Saskatoon then asked that a genuine Tweed Lane be named in her honor by the Saskatoon City Council. The City Council approved the request, and the street is located in the Rosewood area.
Shannon Tweed got married to the popular music group Kiss, Gene Simmons, in 2011. But, although they got into marriage in 2011, they were dating and living together 20 years long. Before their wedding, Shannon Tweed and Gene Simmons got two children not born in wedlock. Shannon's husband, Gene Simmons, is proud of his wife and how she treats their kids. The Simmons-Tweed couple is stable, and they don't plan the divorce process.
Tweed lived with Hugh Hefner, the creator of Playboy, for around 14 months in the Playboy Mansion. Her Playmate performances and being awarded 1982 Playmate of the Year coincided with their romance. Her first meeting with her future husband, musician Gene Simmons, took place at the Mansion. Since 1983, Tweed has been in a relationship with Simmons. Simmons stated in a 2011 interview, "Shannon is exactly what I'm looking for in my life. She makes me accountable not only because of love and family, but also because she loves me." On October 1, 2011, the pair married in an outdoor nighttime ceremony on the Beverly Hills Hotel's glittering lawn after 28 years together.
