One might not be aware that ‘Tre Melvin’ is only a stage name of Edward L. Melvin III. Before Tre moved to Orlando, he was born and raised in Dayton to African and American parents. He has a sister named Kayla Melvin who has appeared in Tre’s short film “Skullface”. At the tender age of 12, Tre was already an actor. He has been performing theater, music, short films and television commercials since then.

Tre Melvin graduated from a performing arts high school where he studied theatre between the grades 7 to 12. After completing his high school studies, he joined the University of Cincinnati and majored in Business Marketing from there. On the New Year’s Day of 2014, Tre divulged an undisclosed aspect of him which he had been hiding for quite a long time. He told everybody that he is bisexual. Unlike most, Tre’s amiable friends, family and fans accepted him the way he was. Till date, there has been no information about Tre’s love affairs in the media.

Tre Melvin is a fitness freak and never misses a chance to hit the gym. He has inscribed many tattoos on his body. He also loves to drink alcohol and party with his friends, most of which can be understood by his Instagram pictures. He is quite famous on social media having 620k followers on Instagram.

Best known for his Youtube show ‘This is a Commentary’, Tre Melvin has made his mark in the field of comedy and acting. His show basically creates a parody of videos that go viral on the social media. He covers a wide range of topics in his videos. The show is best known for videos such as “Ghetto Christmas Carols” and many more. He is also widely known for his character named Watermelondrea Jones.

Tre’s career commenced when he released his first video titled “N****s These Days” on his Facebook profile on October 9,2011 and then uploaded the video on Youtube later that day. He received a quite overwhelming response as he gained more than 1k subscribers within the first week itself! And by the end of the month, his video had hit over 1,00,000 views! Within two years, Tre reached over 1.5 million subscribers and more than 100 million views on his videos. All this suggest that he has had a great amount of fan following on social media, especially on Youtube.

Being an actor at an age of 12 didn’t hamper Tre’s academics as he went on to pursue Business Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. Tre Melvin is said to have been working upon his clothing line, television sitcom, and he is believed to be working with Chris Brown and Marlon Wayans. He once posted a parody video of the Paula Deen’s apology, who happens to be an American chef, about the controversial remarks that she made.
