Trisha Yearwood is a highly acclaimed singer who is known for compositions like ‘she’s in Love with a boy’ and ‘I’m still alive’. Born at 19th September, 1964 in Monticello City of Georgia she spend her childhood in middle class family where her father Jack was a banker and mother, Gwen a teacher.

Early Life

In her schooling days she developed interest for music and was very much influenced by legends like Patsy Cline and Hank Williams. She also started liking southern rock bands like Eagles and Allman Brothers. It was after graduating from school in the year 1982 when she attended the two year junior college that was followed by a semester at Georgia University where she decided to make a future into music. Unhappy with college campus, she shifted to Belmont University in Tennessee. Pursuing her passion she even worked as a receptionist at MTM records and also married musician Chris Latham.

Using the contacts which she had gained from working at a records company she recorded many sample tapes and also secured jobs of backup singer for some of the famous artists. Her most notable work as backup singer was for Garth Brook’s No Fences album in 1990. Impressed with the work as a backup singer Brooks introduced Yearwood to Allen Reynolds. Reynolds then introduced Yearwood to Garth Fundis who offered her first deal with MCA Records.

Commercial success

In the year 1991, Yearwood did an album which got double platinum with more than two million copies being sold. She also became the first female singer at that time to sell more than one million copies of a debut album. In this biography it would be wrong to give her talent the success which it deserved. The album was a huge success as it also has her top New Female Vocalist Award at the Academy of Country Music.

She again tasted the success in the year 1992 when Hearts in Armor got released. The album consisted of Woman Walk the Line and Wrong side of Memphis which were both very well received by the audiences. In year 1993, her song the song Remembers When also topped the charts.

Acting Career

After achieving massive success in her singing career, Yearwood began to branch out can try her mettle in acting. She landed a major role in the CBS’s legal drama JAG. The part got her noted and was also critical acclaims. Her tour was also very famous and added a lot in her net worth.

In the year 1999 she separated from Reynolds and recorded Real live Women which is considered as one of the her best works. Tracks like ‘I’m still alive’, ‘Try me again’ topped the charts yearlong. She followed this album with ‘Inside out; which also had some top of the charts songs. In the year 2005 she married her mentor and friend Garth Brooks.

Late Career

After her marriage, Yearwood moved to Oklahoma with her husband and kids. She released Heaven, Power of Love and Heartache in 2007. She took a break of seven years and returned to country music in 2014 with album Prizefighter. This was her first recording in seven years and also had her duet with Kelly Clarkson.
