Typer Blackburn was born October 12, 1986 in Burbank, California. He has four siblings.
In 2004 he appeared on the series Unfabulous on Nickelodeon. He appeared in films and web-series over the next few years, and in 2010 appeared on Days of Our Lives. In October of the same year he was cast as Caleb Rivers in Pretty Little Liars. In 2012 he recorded the song "Find a Way" which was played on the show. In May of 2013 he announced he would continue his character in the spin-off titled Ravenswood. In March of 2018 he began acting on the CW series Roswell, New Mexico.
He also participated in a short web series titled Wendy, loosely based on peter Pan, which premiered in September of 2011. He recorded a song for the series, and another for the ABC Family show The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
He has won three Teen Choice Awards for his role in Pretty Little Liars: Two for Choice Summer TV Star: Male in 2014 and 2015, and one for Choice TV: Chemistry in 2016. He was also nominated for Choice TV Actor: Drama.
