Ulysses Samuel "Ukee" Washington III was born in 1958 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He developed an early interest in both athletics and music during his high school years, becoming a standout athlete while also joining the Philadelphia Boys Choir & Chorale, known as the “Elite” group. Through this choir, Washington had the opportunity to travel internationally, performing in countries including Mexico, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, and Russia.

He co-anchors the 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM editions of “Eyewitness News” alongside Jessica Kartalija. Previously, he co-anchored “CBS 3’s Morning News” on The CW Philly with Erika von Tiehl and also hosted “Talk Philly” at noon with Pat Ciarrocchi.
