Von Miller was born on March 26, 1989, in Dallas, Texas, as Vonnie B’VSean Miller Jr. He spent his childhood in Dallas, growing up in a family that valued athletics. His father, Von Sr., was passionate about sports and strongly encouraged Von to pursue a career in athletics. His mother, Gloria Miller, was also athletically inclined and supportive of her son's ambitions. After his parents separated, Von was primarily raised by his father.
Miller attended DeSoto High School in Texas, where he played for the DeSoto Eagles football team.
