Wagner Maniçoba de Moura was born on June 27, 1976. Moura was born in Salvador, Bahia, in the Northeast Region of Brazil, however he experienced childhood in the city of Rodelas. His mom, Alderiva, was a housewife and his father, Jose Moura, was a sergeant in the Brazilian Air Force.
As a young boy, he joined the drama club in his school, where he performed on his first ever stage plays. Despite the fact that Moura was truly into acting, he chose to first work as a journalist for a more financial stability in his life. He graduated and majored in broadcasting journalism at Federal University of Bahia.
Career
Wagner was already a popular and acclaimed actor in Brazil but he has accomplished universal popularity for roles in Elite Squad (2007), its sequel, Elite Squad: The Enemy Within (2010) and Elysium (2013).
Wagner got a Golden Globe nomination for his excellent portrayal of Pablo Escobar in Narcos. Fans of the show were delighted when it came back for companion series, Narcos: Mexico.
