Whitney Port

Whitney Port is an American television personality, fashion designer, and author. She is best known for her role on the MTV reality series The Hills.

Early Life and Education

Whitney Eve Port was born on March 4, 1985, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of Vicki Port and the late Jeffrey Port. Whitney has one brother, Ryan Port, and three sisters—Paige, Jade, and Ashley Port.

She attended Warner Avenue Elementary School, where she served as class president in fifth grade. Port later attended the Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 2007 with a degree in gender studies. During her time at USC, she held internships at notable fashion publications such as Women's Wear Daily and W magazine. It has been reported that she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority while in college.

Television Career: The Hills and The City

Whitney Port gained national attention through her appearance on MTV’s reality television series The Hills, which documented the personal and professional lives of several young women in Los Angeles. During her time on the show, Port interned at Teen Vogue alongside co-star Lauren Conrad, highlighting her budding interest in fashion.

In 2013, Port began dating Tim Rosenman, a former producer on The City. The couple married in November 2015 and later welcomed a son, Sonny Sanford Rosenman, in July 2017.

Public Attention and Media Moments

In an episode of her podcast With Whit, released in August 2019, Port shared a candid story during a conversation with Harper’s Bazaar director Andrea Cuttler. She revealed a brief yet uneventful interaction she had with actor Leonardo DiCaprio in 2009. Although they exchanged contact information and kept in touch for a few months, nothing developed from the encounter. Port expressed some personal regret about how the situation unfolded, though she acknowledged it with humor.
